
Rosa Martinez, MSW
About Me
Rosa is a bilingual, license-eligible social worker currently working toward her clinical licensure. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology from Saint Leo University in 2013 and continued her education at Simmons University, where she earned her Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in trauma and interpersonal violence.

Rosa is experienced and skilled working with children, adolescents, and adults that experience trauma, depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), family conflict, stress, anxiety, life transitions, difficulties with school, academic and employment, family separations, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), along with various other behavioral and emotional conditions. She has received training on trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, telehealth for mental health professionals, and advanced trauma treatment for children and adolescents. She is currently working towards her certified substance abuse counselor certificate (CSAC). Her primary modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, reality therapy, solution focused therapy, and strengths-based therapy.

Prior to pursuing a career in social work, Rosa served in the United States Navy for eleven years. During her tenure in the Navy, she worked as a law enforcement official, a sexual assault victim advocate, and a youth mentor program coordinator. In her spare time, Rosa enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her family.
