1. Cost of services/payment information.

We offer competitive rates and accept most commercial insurance companies. In the spirit of the NASW National Association of Social Workers’ Code of Ethics, we offer a sliding scale to help serve all who seek therapy. Our mission is to make therapy accessible and promote engagement. For those using insurance, you are responsible for whatever portion of treatment is not covered by your provider.

 

2. A few thoughts about beginning therapy for the first time, or coming back after having had a bad experience in therapy:

 We pride ourselves on being down to earth, reasonable, sober, and sensible therapists. So many times we hear of people who have had negative experiences with past therapists, with that in mind we strive to be flexible and the focus is always on what is important to the individual client.  The purpose of the first therapy session is to get to know you, understand your needs, and help you feel comfortable.

3. Where are you located and how do I contact you?

Our Chesterfield office is located at:  10100 Ironbridge Rd, Chesterfield VA 23832. Our office is directly on Ironbridge Rd, in between The Gates Law Office and the Dentist Office. It is a tan building with red shutters. Pull into the driveway and come to the back of the building. Enter through the door and our office is upstairs to the left.  Please note that I am seeing clients during the day so I am able to return phone calls and emails during breaks or in the later evening when I finish with my final client. Please allow up to 24 hours for a return call or email.

4. How will I know if you are the right therapist for me?

Research consistently shows that the single best predictor of clinical outcomes is the therapeutic relationship between the client and the clinician.  With that in mind we trust you to decide whether or not we are the right therapist for you.  If you do not feel this is a good fit for you, we are happy to make a referral to someone who may better suit your needs.

 5. How are your handling sessions during the COVID-19 pandemic?

We provide in person as well as teletherapy appointments during the COVID-19 pandemic.  We are fully vaccinated and maintain social distancing for all in office visits.  Office spaces are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
